I love jeans but have been banished to wearing the same two pairs. Why? Because out of the 10 pairs that I own, they are the only ones that truly fit. I've tried everything from Joe's Jeans (which curvy girls swear by) to Old Navy (my old go-to) and with almost every brand I struggle.
Most jeans can't get over my thighs, even with the stretch. Forget about European brands. I'm a 32 waist and they leave this uncomfortable gap between my "my girl" and the beginning of the inseam. Everyone always recommends Joe's Jeans to me but I have yet to find a pair that fit. I've always wanted expensive, durable jeans...but they just don't fit.
For years, it was only Old Navy jeans that took me in and hugged my curves lovingly. Even their sister company, The Gap would fail me, which was mind-boggling because they're under the same parent company. I fell in love via the original Rockstar jeans (now rebranded to Rockstar Super Skinny Jeans). They fit my thighs and weren't baggy in my waist. I haven't recently bought a pair, only because I've added some new brands to my collection!
Torrid gifted me the Sky High Skinny Jean to try out their denim for future fashion stories. I was skeptical at first. I'm a size 12, but always order up for my thighs when it comes to jeans. Since they're a plus-size brand, I figured I'd order true to size. They should know my thicness...and BAY-BEE they did!
The jeans fit like a charm! They hugged me in all the right places, contoured to my curves, and weren't falling off my waist. These are now my go-to jeans. I dress them up or down and always feel good in them. After a few wears, they do that baggy thing in the butt, but after a wash or 30 minutes in the dryer, they shrink to their original form.
They are currently 30% off and all sales are final, making me think once these particular pair are sold out, they won't be replenishing. I posted about these on my IG stories and several women bought them and reported back to me they had the same sentiments as mine
I also love NYDJ Curves 360 jeans . I own a black pair that's a few seasons old and still going strong (the color is maintaining as well). I've dropped some weight so they don't fit as well as before, but at $109.00, they are the closest to luxury jeans I could find that fit. All the jeans contain this lift and tuck technology that keeps you flatter in the front but accentuates your curves in the back. They tell you to order one size smaller because of the technology. I don't know if it's truly the technology or simply vanity sizing, but what I do know is that I look good. I'm annoyed because I can't find a picture to post.
While I own jeans by other brands, the above two are really what works for me.
DM me on Instagram and let me know what brand jeans work for you! I'm always on the hunt for new brands or existing brands that have updated their jean technology.
P.S. None of this is sponsored. I like to speak freely about what I wear. If it's sponsored, I'll always let you know and I only work with brands that I actually wear, use, and like!
